Wroclaw Declaration
The higher education students' representatives from Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine gathered together in Wroclaw from 8th to 10th April 2011 in order to discuss their cooperation between the V4+ Group countries and its partners as well as the European Students' Union (ESU).
It is certain that there are new challenges in the world and we recognize that our higher educational institutions do not adapt well to them. Current value of higher education decreased and the students' status declined too.
In 2010 a wave of changes started in Bucharest and a lot was done to improve the situation in the higher educational institutions Europe wide. Now after one year of hard work we can observe the first results, but still a lot needs to be done to boost needed innovation and achieve requested level of development of our higher education, which is also crucial for our common future and for our countries.
We, representatives of our national unions of students, declare that we commit to implement quality assurance tools and student-centered learning into the educational processes. We consider it as a key factor to make our education better and closer to students.
We believe that only modernization and fluent changes in the higher educational systems can fill the new needs of our societies.
For that common aims we are ready to give any support.
